As a professional diver specializing in underwater bridge inspections, I’ve had the opportunity to use MaskOptix ® during my recent dives, and I couldn't be more impressed!
The comfort of these glasses is outstanding. They fit very well straight out of the box without needing to bend them much, thanks to the pre-positioned ear hooks. In terms of visibility, I typically wear them only when the underwater conditions are clear, and they truly enhance my vision by allowing me to see details I otherwise might miss. While my sight isn’t bad, the prescription lenses provided an extra layer of clarity, especially during inspections.
I’ve primarily used MaskOptix ® with my Interpiro AGA mask and the Kirby Morgan Stainless Steel 97, and I’m excited to try them with my new Kirby Morgan M-48 Supermask as well. Whether I’m on a surface supply line or SCUBA diving for shorter jobs, the glasses have been a reliable companion.
One of the standout experiences was how little I noticed I was wearing them. They felt very unintrusive during my dives, which allowed me to focus on the task at hand. Additionally, while underwater visibility is generally low, I didn’t find much benefit from the tint—in a low-light environment, I prefer clarity over tint.
Overall, MaskOptix® has significantly improved my diving experience by combining comfort, clarity, and practicality. I highly recommend them to anyone in the diving industry looking to enhance their vision underwater!
